Description

The successful completion of the Mechanical exam is a prerequisite for engineers seeking to upgrade their professional engineering category from “Practicing Engineer” to “Specialized Engineer”. This advancement is necessary to qualify for the position of Activity Owner at Contractor or Engineering Consultancy firms, Ensures the high standards of engineering work, creating new opportunities for engineers, and advancing their professional development.

Exam Qualification Criteria

To be eligible for the Professional Engineer's Qualification Exam, Candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Engineer License: Hold an engineering license issued by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi.
  • Work Experience: Have at least three years of work experience registered in the Engineering licensing system.
  • Engineering Specialty: Currently be registered with the engineering specialty that is equivalent to the exam you wish to book, as listed below.
