Saif Ghobash

Saif Ghobash: He is the martyr. Saif Bin Saeed Bin Ghobash Al Marri. He was born on October 21, 1932 in the Al Muaird neighborhood in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah. He began his educational career in 1946, and in 1949 he traveled to Bahrain in search of education and knowledge, and left Bahrain for Iraq after graduating from high school in 1953 and obtaining the first place, and he studied engineering at the University of Baghdad, and after two years he left for Cairo, and did not stay there for long, as he traveled to Kuwait and worked in the Ministry of Works, after which he traveled to Austria and from there to Germany and Switzerland where he worked and studied, and in 1969 he returned. He moved to Ras Al Khaimah and worked as head of the engineering department in the municipality, He accompanied Sheikh Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, the ruler of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, on his foreign travels, and he included the delegation of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the talks on establishing the state, and on December 25, 1973 he formed the second ministerial formation in the country and was appointed as the first minister of state for foreign affairs, and on the morning of Tuesday October 25, 1977 he was the late Abdul Halim Khaddam, the then Syrian Foreign Minister, accompanied him to Abu Dhabi Airport to bid farewell to him. When the two ministers entered the grand hall of Abu Dhabi Airport and on their way to the Hall of Honor, bullets of treachery were fired that were intended to assassinate Khaddam, but they hit Minister Ghobash in the shoulder and stomach, where he was taken to the hospital and died of his wounds.
